Spotify usually works great for me, but recently it has been playing songs with no sound actually coming out. (song bar dot moves along with song even though no sound is actually playing.) I have tried deleting the application and reinstalling, and have searched through a ton of forums addressing this question, although none of them address.

To find the hosts file, open Finder and, in Finder’s menu bar, select Go > Go to Folder. In the box, type the following location and press Return.
To open it, simply double-click and it will display the file’s contents in TextEdit (or the text editor of your choice). Add the host content in it and save.

Your device might be having a technical problem.
